A Training on road safety in the campaign in Kompong Chhnang province​ (Cont)

The students from 4 primary schools along the National Road 5 in Kompong Chhnang province got a training on road safety in the campaign of "Save Our Kids, Speed Down" 

On the Monday morning, 28th June 2019, the students of the 4 primary schools which are Hun Sen Andong Snay Primary School, Hun Sen Prey Khmer Primary School, Samakey Primary School, and Teuk Hout Primary School along National Road 5 have gotten a training on traffic light, road signs, traffic signs for pedestrians, safety rules for pedestrians, not-to-do things for pedestrians, and also received a learning kit, including learning materials from the Road Safety Department of the General Department of Land Transport – the representative of the Ministry of Public Works and Transport in collaboration with the General Secretariat of the National Road Safety Committee, the Union of Youth Federations of Cambodia in the field of public works and transport, and Kompong Chnang Provincial Department of Public Works and Transport, with the support of the Japan-ASEAN Integration Fund (JAIF), this road safety awareness project is called “Save Our Kids, Speed Down”.
The students were selected from grade 4, 5, and 6, with the number of 100 students from each school. The students who participated in this campaign received a learning kit, including a notebook attached with the lessons (safety rules to cross the road), 1 reflective sticker, 1 box of crayon, 1 pencil, and 1 eraser. On the other hand, the materials delivered to each primary school consist of 4 safety barras, 10 safety vests, 2 whistles, 2 slogan banners, and 100 reflective stickers. During the training, students have chances to answer the question and get the 20 helmets for the reward (There were 20 students who answered correctly). After completing the theoretical session, the students and teachers also participated in the practice of crossing roads and the safety rules of how to cross the road in the school zones.
